When is comes to making dairy free ice cream frozen bananas are essential. Who would ever thought to use frozen bananas in the recipe, but it works like a charm. If you are like our family, we eat tons of bananas. It’s the perfect package mobile snack. Plus organic bananas are not to expensive. When our bananas are on the edge of to ripe, I cut them up and put them in the freezer. Then when it comes time for our dessert or afternoon snack we have frozen bananas ready to go for the ice cream.

One thing that I want to mention is that I’m not a big fan of coconut. So when I first made this recipe I was concerned that the coconut flavor would be dominate, but it wasn’t. I’ve made ginger, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate chip ice cream and they all tasted amazing. Below is the recipe!

Blend up 3 frozen bananas with coconut milk (make sure to get whole coconut milk). Also, put the coconut milk in the refrigerator 24 hours prior to making the ice cream. Once you have everything blender  next add to your ice cream maker. Turn it on for 15 mins and add your flavoring. Whatever you like. And, there you have it some fresh dairy free ice creme to enjoy!
