You can scoop it up with veggies, crackers, pita, or chips while watching football or have it for a quick afternoon snack in the office. It’s a good go-to-dish when you have vegetarians over for dinner or need to take an appetizer to a potluck. Everyone loves hummus. You just can’t go wrong. Plus you will feel like a superhero when someone says, “You made this? WOW, it’s so amazing!”
In the past we have made hummus with our cuisinart blender, but now we use the Magic Bullet. The Magic Bullet does an excellent job whipping up the ingredients to make the perfect hummus texture.
Ingredients: 15-ounce can chickpeas, also called garbanzo beans, 1/4 cup (59 ml) fresh lemon juice, about 1 large lemon, 1/4 cup (59 ml) tahini, half of a large garlic clove, minced, 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for serving, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon kosher salt, depending on taste, and 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin.
Here is the best part of the recipe — throw all the ingredients together and blend. If you want it really creamy you can add a little water and blend more.
