We have all seen the infomercials about the Magic Bullet, right? Well I have a confession to make, we got one. It all started when our blender (that was handed down to us from my sister-n-law) broke after ten glorious years. After a few weeks of grieving, we started the research process for a new one.
We reviewed and assessed several blenders ranging from $50.00 to $350.00 bucks. In the long run, we realized that we just might not need a big blender that takes up a lot of counter and dishwasher space. Plus we already have a Cuisinart food processor and a hand held blender, which is prefect to use when you want your soup to have a creamy texture.
After a trip to Bed, Bath, & Beyond, we arrived home with the Magic Bullet in hand. To be honest, I wasn’t excited, but just happy to have something to make some smoothies with. On the other hand, Roniboy was ready for action. He read through all the instructions and started to whip up a lot of fun recipes. His excitement was contagious. Then, I started making all kinds of really good stuff as well — including some baby food for the kiddo. It’s so easy, quick, and not a lot of clean up (slam dunk!). My favorite breakfast drink is carrot, apple, and ginger. It’s such a fun way to jump start the day.
Ingredients: 1 apple, 1 carrot, and some 1 tsp of fresh ginger. Put it all together into the Magic Bullet, add some juice in this case I use carrot juice. Blend for a few seconds and enjoy!
